Mary Pender - Barnets Lane

Barnets Lane Jewellery Design evolved when Mary Pender, weary of hard work which lacked creativity, returned to college to study design and silversmithing.

“Barnets Lane Jewellery is inspired by the world around me: the natural landscape, nature, history, art, travel & romance.”

Mary’s designs are designed to be loved and worn every day.

All sterling silver pieces are hallmarked in the Irish Assay Office, Dublin Castle and where possible offcuts from the marketing industry are used for her contemporary acrylic designs.

Natalie Alers

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Natalie Alers is a self-taught watercolour artist and porcelain jewellery designer / manufacturer.

Natalie loves both mediums because they are translucent which reflect a gentleness and simplicity. She is inspired by the nature around her country garden, especially the small birds which visit and nest in the hedgerow.

Natalie started her own jewellery range after struggling to find earrings that did not irritate her allergic skin. Porcelain and gold were perfect as they are exceptionally lightweight - each earring weighs only 1 gram.

Natalie and her family settled in the Carlow countryside 10 years ago where she now works from her garden studio.
