Bobby McLean

Scottish born artist, Bobby McLean graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1985 with an honours degree in fine art. Bobby moved to Carlow in 1990 after being invited to showcase his work at an art festival and awarded an artist-in-residence position from the Irish Arts Council.

Bobby’s work has been heavily influenced by Charles Renee McIntosh, Fuve, Mattisse and Van Gogh. A highly distinctive and extravagantly gifted artist who has exhibited his work throughout Europe and has been acclaimed with excellent critical reviews.
